Quarry & Mining

The quarry and mining sector demands components that can withstand punishment that would destroy lesser materials — abrasive rock, heavy impact, constant vibration, wet and dirty operating conditions, and equipment that runs hard around the clock with little tolerance for unplanned downtime.

What Flemings can offer for Quarry & Mining

Flemings Performance Engineering has a strong track record supplying high-performance polymer and sealing solutions to quarry operators, mining equipment manufacturers, and bulk material handling specialists, where material toughness and wear resistance are the defining criteria for every component we produce.

Our Flemthane® cast polyurethane system is ideally suited to the rigours of quarrying and mining environments and is used across a wide range of wear-critical applications including scrapers, star wheels, and screening media — delivering the exceptional abrasion resistance, impact toughness, and resilience that high-volume material processing demands.

Products Supplied

Polyurethane screens offer a significant advantage over traditional wire or rubber alternatives, combining long wear life with the flexibility to handle high-impact loading without cracking or deforming, reducing screen replacement frequency and the associated maintenance costs and production losses.

Anti-vibration components in Flemthane® and specialist elastomer compounds are also a core part of our mining portfolio, protecting machinery, structures, and operators from the damaging and fatiguing effects of continuous heavy-duty operation.

Alongside our polyurethane and polymer offering, we supply hydraulic seals, custom gaskets, and precision-engineered rubber components to keep the fluid power and sealing systems that drive quarry and mining equipment operating reliably in some of the harshest conditions on earth.

At Flemings, we know that in quarrying and mining, durability is not a feature — it is the entire specification.
